The photo of Jang Geun Suk on the cover of Japanese magazine, “Men’s Non No,” was released on August 10th. The star actor/singer became the first Korean celebrity to don the cover of “Men’s Non No” magazine.

Featured in the September issue of the magazine, Jang Geun Suk appears in a sophisticated black suit look. With his brown long hair and a thin black tie, Jang Geun Suk perfectly expresses the metrosexual style. The photo shoot for the magazine’s cover and eight-page special feature took place in Korea last month.

The chief editor of the magazine said, “After shooting some photos with Jang Geun Suk, I realized he’s not just a great model that dresses perfectly well, but a real professional who knows how to express himself. Jang Geun Suk was also featured on the cover of Japanese weekly magazine, “Anan.” That issue sold out shortly after its release, selling more than 280,000 copies in a week.

They were selected to act as models for the 2011 Fall/Winter season of Codes Combine Haiker. From the previous season, Jang has conducted as a model for the same brand, but Park was newly joined this time.

On the 6th, Jang Keun Suk attended test-drive event at the Korean furniture Museum in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul. The event was for Japanese customers and Jang Keun Suk was invited in response to the customers’ request.

During the event, Jang Keun Suk actively introduced Korean culture. He chose a traditional Korean style house, where there are Korean traditional furniture, including, folding screen and bedding. Jang Keun Suk expressed happiness when he met a reporter, wearing hanbok, Korean traditional clothes.

Jang Keun Suk also introduced kimchi stew when he appeared on Japanese program, on the 7th. His pictures taken at the event are spreading through a Japanese crew’s facebook account.

Director Yoon Suk Ho, who is known for his former work “Winter Sonata”, has revealed the male lead character for his upcoming drama would be the popular Hallyu star Jang Geun Suk.

An official revealed on August 9^th that Jan Geun Suk will be taking the lead role in Yoon Suk Ho’s new drama, “Singing in the Rain”, which is set to be aired early next year. The drama will be director Yoon’s typical melodrama, just like his well-known works “Autumn in My Heart” and “Winter Sonata”.

Written by writer Oh Soo Yeon, “Singing in the Rain” would be Writer Oh and Director Yoon’s collaboration in ten years since “Autumn in My Heart”.

It is reported that the drama illustrates the love stories that take place in the 1970s and current era. Jang Geun Suk will be playing two roles; Seo In Ha, an art student back in the 1970s, and his son Seo Jun, who is a photographer that enjoys his work and seeks for love and freedom.

The drama was originally planned to air later this year on KBS, yet it was canceled due to Director Yoon’s late preparation. Aiming to be aired early next year, the filming will begin next month.

Jang Geun Suk held the grand finale of his Asian tour concert, “THE CRI SHOW,” on August 7th in Seoul, bringing the six-country, four-month long event to an end. With more than 2,500 fans in attendance, Jang Geun Suk showed off his hosting, singing, acting, and even DJ-ing skills for over two and a half hours, giving fans from all over the world a night to remember. The show also included a surprise birthday party for the star actor, while revealing some behind the scene footages of his new photo book and video essay, “Travel Together-Budapest Diary.”

“Every moment of the tour was beautiful and emotional. Whatever Asian city I visited, fans greeted me with the same depth of love, and I could feel them supporting me with all their energy. I would like to thank all the Korean fans who waited so long for me and the foreign fans that traveled all the way here for the concert as well. I’m going to do my best to have the best time with my fans in the future too, just like we did through this concert,” Jang Geun Suk said at the end of the concert.

Starting from last April, Jang Geun Suk’s Asian tour, “THE CRI SHOW,” visited Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Shangai, before wrapping it up in Seoul this weekend. His first video essay, “Travel Together-Budapest Diary” is set for release in Japan on October 26th.
