On the September 14 episode of MBC’s talk show Golden Fish Bank – The Knee God, when he was asked how popular he currently was in Japan, Jang Keun Suk answered, “I cannot even get out of my hotel room as I please. I’m not allowed to take for a walk alone.”
He added, “It is Bae Yong Joon that changed Japanese people’s views on Korea itself and Korean people. He stands on an unapproachable level in Japan, making a series of significant records. He is the pioneer who established the basis for the current craze of Korean Wave.”
