Jang Keun Suk has recently revealed that the drama that helped him gain immense popularity in Japan, "You're Beautiful", has broken the record for DVD rentals that was set by 2002's "Winter Sonata".
During MBC "Golden Fishery - Knee Drop Guru" that was aired on September 14, Jang Geun Suk said, "I thought "You're Beautiful" would be successful during its airing. It was a completely different genre from "Iris"and I had complete confidence in the Hong sisters."
Continuing on he said, "As a result, it became a drama that manias enjoyed. However, I didn't expect the feedback for the drama to be this good." and "The DVD rental record that was set by"Winter Sonata" was surpassed for the first time."
"Winter Sonata" was a hugely popular drama from 2002 and starred Bae Yong Joon and Choi Ji Woo. It will soon be celebrating its 10th year anniversary.
