Jang Keun Suk recently proved that he is popular in Japan.
On the 2nd, Jang appeared on the Japanese version of the Korean drama You Are Handsome, and drew wide attention.
Jang played a version of himself in the drama. He found out that the lead actress, who pretends she is a boy, was not a boy.
It’s his first appearance in a Japanese drama. He studied Japanese by himself and shot the scene in one take. He even made friends with the Japanese actors.
Jang respectfully refused to receive his performance fee. He said, “I decided to appear on the drama for my Japanese fans who support me and love me. I want the fee to be used for the drama.”
A Japanese spokesperson for the drama said, “That’s why Jang is so popular both in Korea and Japan.”
