Now more than five million people are following Jang Keun Suk on Weibo.

On July 30, actor Jang Keun Suk proved his high popularity in China by having accumulated over five million followers on Sina Weibo, a substitute for Twitter in China.

With the rapidly increasing number of followers, Jang now has the largest number of followers on Weibo as an overseas celebrity, beating Tom Cruise who has about 4.4 million followers.

The number of Jang’s followers has increased by a million every three months since he opened his account in August , 2011. In June, the number exceeded three million, and about a half million became Jang’s followers within four days after Jang appeared on one of the most popular TV shows in China.

Jang will hold concerts at the Taipei Arena in Taiwan on September 1 and 2 after finishing his concert in Shanghai, which will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on August 11.

On July 25, Tree J Company reported Jang received a lot of attention in a promotional press interview for Love Rain, which was held in Japan on July 24.

The interview was held before Love Rain starts airing on the Japanese private TV channel Fuji TV.

On July 24, Jang’s agency reported that Jang ranked first on the top ten most Korean popular male celebrities of the first half of 2012 on Yahoo, the biggest portal site in Taiwan.

According to the agency, KBS 2TV’s Love Rain is currently airing in Taiwan and the leading actor Jang is popular among Taiwanese viewers because of his handsome face and his character’s carefree personality.

Actor Jang Keun Suk held the second concert of the 2012 Jang Keun Suk’s Asian Tour The Cri Show 2 on July 21 and 22 in Yokohama, Japan.

It was also the first overseas concert of his tour.

On July 23, Jang’s agency reported that the Yokohama concert attracted nearly 22,000 fans with all of its tickets sold out.

Because it was a total sellout, many people inquired about additional tickets, and the agency had to allow some people to watch the concert standing.

The most popular Japanese visual rock band L’Arc-en-Ciel’s Hyde also attended the concert and attracted a lot of attention. Jang personally knows him as his favorite artist.

อดีต คนงานในโรงอาหารยังจำจางกึนซ็อกน้อยได้ "เราไม่เคยลืมภาพตอนที่จางกึนซ็อกขี่จักรยาน เขาเต็มไปด้วยพลัง หลังเลิกเรียนเขาชอบไปที่ฟาร์มปลา โดยไม่สนใจว่าจะมีลูกค้าอยู่ที่นั่นหรือไม่ ทำให้โดนพวกผู้ใหญ่ดุบ่อยๆ ว่าให้ไปรออยู่ข้างๆ ก่อน"

ปี 1997 หลังจากละครเรื่องแรกของจางกึนซ็อก "Selling Happiness" ละครเรื่องต่อมาของเขาก็คือ"Hug" กำลังจะออกอากาศ เพื่อนๆ ในชั้นทุกคนให้กำลังใจเขา คุณครูยังประกาศด้วยว่า "วันนี้ละครที่จางกึนซ็อกแสดงจะออกอากาศ ทุกคนอย่าลืมดูกันด้วยนะ"

จาง กึนซ็อกกับคุณแม่ของเขาต้องเดินทางประมาณ 2 ช.ม. กว่าจะไปถึงกองถ่าย และเดินทางกลับบ้านอีก 2 ช.ม. เวลาที่ทั้งคู่อยู่ในห้องของจางกึนซ็อก ประตูจะปิด เป็นเวลาของการทบทวนบท แม่ของเขาจะเป็นผู้แนะนำและบอกจางกึนซ็อกว่า "ลูกควรทำแบบนี้" หรือ "ความรู้สึกแบบนี้น่าจะดีกว่า" แบบนี้เป็นต้น

ราวๆ ปี 1995-1999 ครอบครัวของจางกึนซ็อกต้องประสบปัญหาด้านการเงิน พ่อแม่ของเขายุ่งกับการทำงานและไม่มีเวลาพาเขาไปที่กองถ่ายในกรุงโซล "ระหว่างนี้จางกึนซ็อกต้องหอบกระเป๋านักเรียนอันแสนหนักด้วยตัวเอง และมีเงินติดตัวเพียงแค่ 1 หมื่นวอน เขาจะต้องขึ้นรถไฟแล้วไปต่อรถไฟใต้ดินเพื่อไปยังกองถ่ายด้วยตัวเอง แม่ของเขาทนไม่ได้ที่ต้องเห็นลูกชายเหนื่อยขนาดนี้จึงตัดสินใจกลับมาอยู่ที่ โซล เพื่อให้ลูกชายได้เป็นนักแสดง เธอให้เขาเข้าเรียนที่โรงเรียนการแสดงในโซล แล้วทั้ง 3 คนก็ย้ายกลับมาอยู่ที่โซล ถึงแม้ว่าสังคมเกาหลีจะถือว่าการศึกษาเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ แต่คุณปู่ก็เป็นคนใจกว้าง เพื่อนของครอบครัวนี้เล่าว่า "คุณปู่เชื่อว่าถ้าหลานชายของท่านมีพรสวรรค์ทางด้านนี้ เราก็ควรฝึกฝนทักษะด้านนี้ของเขาแทนที่จะให้เรียนเหมือนคนอื่นๆ ท่านถึงได้ยอมให้ทั้ง 3 คนกลับมาโซล"

แม่ ของจางกึนซ็อกสอนเขาตั้งแต่เล็กๆ ว่า "ให้ปฏิบัติต่อผู้คนด้วยความจริงใจ" จางกึนซ็อกซึ่งก้าวเข้าสู่วงการเร็วกว่าคนอื่นๆ จึงเปิดเผยตัวตนที่แท้จริงของเขาต่อผู้อื่นเสมอไม่ว่าคนๆ นั้นจะเป็นใคร แต่เมื่อเขาเปิดใจให้กับผู้อื่นแบบเต็มร้อย คนอื่นกลับมองว่าเขาโง่ ครั้งหนึ่งตอนที่เขาอายุแค่ 10 ขวบ เขาไว้ใจคนอื่นมากเกินไปจึงโดนหักหลัง หลังจากนั้นเขาก็กลายเป็นซึมเศร้า เมื่อจางกึนซ็อกโตขึ้นมาเขาถึงได้ยอมเล่าเรื่องนี้ให้คนอื่นรับรู้ (ข้อมูลจากคนเขียนบทคนหนึ่ง)

ที่ นิวซีแลนด์ จางกึนซ็อกได้มีช่วงเวลาที่มีความสุขช่วงสั้นๆ ไม่มีใครจำเขาได้ว่าเขาเป็นดารา เขาไม่ต้องสนใจว่าใครจะมองเขายังไง หลังจากจบชั้นมัธยมปลาย จางกึนซ็อกตั้งใจจะไปอังกฤษเพื่อเรียนต่อมหาวิทยาลัย แต่เขาถูกชวนให้กลับมาเกาหลีเพื่อแสดงในเรื่อง "Nonstop4" ละครเรื่องนี้โด่งดังมากในเกาหลีและได้รับคำชมเชยมากมายในขณะนั้น จางกึนซ็อกจึงกลายเป็นดาวรุ่งดวงใหม่ สำหรับจางกึนซ็อกแล้วต่อให้กลับมาเริ่มเรียนใหม่หลังอายุ 20 ก็ยังไม่ถือว่าสายเกินไป

ประวัติจางกึนซอก

จางกึนซอก เกิดเมื่อวันที่ 4 สิงหาคม พ.ศ.2530 ปัจจุบันอายุ 23 ปี สูง 182 เซนติเมตร จบการศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยฮันยาง สาขาภาพยนตร์ เวลาว่างของหนุ่มคนนี้เขาชอบที่จะเล่นกีฬาพวกสโนว์บอร์ดและสกี แต่ด้วยพรสวรรค์ด้านการแสดงที่โดดเด่นมาตั้งแต่วัยเยาว์ จางกึนซอก จึงเข้ามาโลดเล่นในวงการมายาตั้งแต่ปี พ.ศ. 2541 จึงทำให้เขาเก็บเกี่ยวประสบการณ์จากการทำงานมาอย่างโชกโชน ทั้งเป็นดีเจรายการวิทยุ พิธีกร เดินแบบถ่ายแบบ งานพากย์เสียงการ์ตูน และงานแสดงต่าง ๆ

           จนปี พ.ศ. 2549 จางกึนซอก มีโอกาสได้รับบทนำครั้งแรกในละครเรื่อง Alien Teacherจากนั้น จางกึนซอก ได้ร่วมงานภาพยนตร์สยองขวัญ ภาคต่อสุดฮิตของญี่ปุ่นอย่างเรื่อง One Missed Call Final และมารับบทเป็นอึนโฮ จากละครฟอร์มยักษ์เรื่อง Hwang Jin Yi ซึ่งทำให้เขาดังเป็นพลุแตก จนได้รับรางวัลจากงานประกาศรางวัลของทางช่อง KBS มาครองได้สำเร็จ

On July 15, Jang uploaded a picture of himself with his friend in Paris on his Twitter account with the comment, “I saw there was ‘Jang Keun Suk racial discrimination’ as one of the most searched words on Daum.

I said that to one of the people who did something wrong to me. I didn’t mean it to all Western people. Please don’t exaggerate! I love Paris!” Jang tweeted before, “What I’m really mad about is that you don’t say anything to Western people, but if Asian people make a little mistake, you immediately come and harass them.

Asia Prince, Jang Keunsuk, posted several selcas of him via his Twitter account while holding a newspaper and a bottle of wine in the streets of Champs-Elysees. 

The said newspaper is the New York Herald Tribune. Another selca of him qoutes, “Eels who supported me for 4 years.

At Jang Keun Suk Cri Show 2 in Seoul Venue (see above pictures), Fans have donated rice wreathes in total 3,630Kg. 500Kg from it, on July 09, per Mr. Jang Keun Suk’s wish, has delivered to Orphanage at cheonyeondung ui, Seodaemun gu, Seoul.

The person from the orphanage said: “500Kg rice can let 80 children eat for 2 months.

We are very grateful to Mr. Jang Keun Suk and his fans all over the world.” The rest rice 3,130Kg and 9,100Kg which was from donation of KBS Drama Love Rain’s Press Conference in March, total 12,230Kg will be also all be donated to the needies.

Actor Jang Keun Suk is about to actualize his dream to become the world prince. On July 10, Tree J Company, Jang’s agency, reported that Jang was warmly received by people in Paris on July 9.

Jang’s visit to Paris was not an official one.

However, his fans came to the airport to see Jang after hearing the news that Jang was going to come to Paris.

The fans swarmed over to Charles de Gaulle Airport were mostly European fans.

Actor Jang Keun Suk is publishing the season 2/02 of his personal magazine CRI-J in Japan on July 10.

CRI-J is a specialized magazine for Jang, which is published four times a year in Japan.

It was published in April, July, and October last year and January this year.

The season one of the magazine was really popular in Japan that its sales volume was incomparable to that of any Hallyu actors’ personal magazines, which was over 24,000 copies.

As many people requested for the second season, Jang decided to publish the season two of CRI-J.

Unlike the season one, which shows the 25-year-old man Jang, the season 2/01 published in April shows all about Jang’s daily life in detail, reinterpreting his powerful, passionate looks in ten different colors.
