After sweeping top rankings of the Oricon chart, Jang enters a global chart showing of his potential
Recently, actor Jang Keun Suk was spotted in the fourth place on the United World Chart with his first official Japanese album Just Crazy.
Managed by www.mediatraffic.de, the United World Chart is updated every week after summing up total single and album sales of singers in each country around the world.
Including America’s Billboard chart, Japan’s Oricon chart, and the United Kingdom’s UK chart, sales record of 36 different countries are accumulated.
Korean album sales record, of course, is reflected in the chart.
Living up to his reputations as Asian Prince, Jang’s official album Just Crazy ranked at the top of the Oricon daily and weekly chart as soon as it was released.
It had discouraged Japan’s leading group, Mr. Children, from ranking no.1 for three consecutive weeks.
Moreover, the star sold over 88,000 copies without running any promotion, therefore firming his popular status in the country.
This time, the same album ranked fourth on the United World Chart, beating Sigur Ros, a popular rock band in Iceland.
Following singer-songwriters Adele and John Mayer, and popular British band One Direction, Jang stood shoulder-to-shoulder with worldly-renowned musicians.
In the meantime, Jang will hold 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour in July. It kicks off in Seoul then will be continued in four cities in Japan (Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka), Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Thailand.
