Actor Jang Keun Suk recently donated to his school, Hanyang University, but he wanted to perform the good deeds quietly.
On November 23, Jang’s agency, Tree J Company, said, “Jang donated to Hanyang University to help cultivate men of talent. We wanted to do it quietly but his actions were discovered.”
According to the agency, Jang, who is a Theater and Film student at Hanyang University, decided to donate to help students who, despite their talent, can’t achieve their goals because of money troubles. That’s why Jang donated1.2 billion won to the school.”
Jang is also thinking about establishing the ‘Jang Keun Suk Scholarship Foundation’ next year. The agency says, “Jang has been supporting kids in Korea. He also donated 10 million yen to Japan after the earthquake.”
Jang also donated part of the proceeds from the cheering event for Korea during the FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 to Hanyang University Hospital. He has also joined a project to make an album called ‘Dream, Spread Your Wings.’
