[News] Jang Keun Suk is named an honorary ambassador for 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit

Jang Keun Suk is named an honorary ambassador for 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit and delivered a message for world peace to the world.

Taking place in March next year in Korea, 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit is a top-level summit in security issues in which leaders of 50 countries in the world and representatives of international organizations are involved. They are planning to discuss about international cooperative measures for protection of nuclear materials and nuclear facilities from terrorist groups.
In regard to appointment of Jang Keun Suk as an honorary ambassador, the preparation and planning group of  2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit (Kim Sung Hwan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as its head) reported, “Jang Keun Suk’s global and friendly image sits comfortably with the honorary ambassador of 2012 Seoul Nuclear Security Summit, and we hope many global citizens can have interest in the importance of nuclear security through Jang Keun Suk’s activities as an honorary ambassador.”
Jang Keun Suk said, “I feel honored to be appointed as an honorary ambassador for a top-level summit in security issues that the whole world pays attention to. I’ll do my best to inform the importance of preventing nuclear terrorism that can severely damage all people in the world.”
He also said, “Because of Hallyu that is spreading more widely, I’m realizing the elevated status of Korea domestically and internationally as an actor. I feel very proud that Korea is contributing to world peace with its global leadership in culture, economy, and security.”
Starting from Nagoya on October 20, Jang made a remarkable record of selling out all 60,000 tickets in 5 minutes for “2011 Jang Keun Suk Arena Tour the Cri Show in Japan ‘Always Close to You,’” held five times in three cities of Japan such as Osakawa and Saitama. At requests of other fans who couldn’t see the concert because of the early sellout, he is again holding a concert “Jang Keun Suk 2011 the Cri Show in Tokyo Dome ‘The Beginning.’”
